Pickle Ranch!
Right quick, while the sausages are heating up for dinner, a recipe. This is my delicious ranch dressing recipe. Low carb, no seed oils (unless you buy one of the lying brands that say they are avocado oil, but aren’t), and a little stroke of pickle juice genius. I’m kinda ticked off about the avocado oil adulteration, because I had been using the Chosen Foods Mayo when I needed to be lazy. But, as we old wives have found out time and time again, lazy people get hoodwinked.
Make your own mayo. Here’s my own recipe for avocado oil mayonnaise, and it’s the best one out there, in my opinion. Since the avocado oils themselves from Chosen Foods haven’t been found to be adulterated, that’s still the safest option for anybody who doesn’t grow and mash their own avocadoes.
Homemade Ranch Dressing
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp lemon juice or more for the desired consistency
- 1 tbsp pickle juice
- 1 tbsp dried minced onion
- 1/2 tsp dried chives
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp white pepper
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients well and serve!

I’m going to go have a little bit of this dressing with some shrimp and sausage now! Pictured above is Get Along Husband’s plate. He can handle a little more fiber and dairy than I can, so that’s his ketogenic dinner.

Mine is a little less fibrous, but still with some miracle noodles. I will probably add more protein now that I’ve looked at that picture. To quote Pork:

I’ve been a little more keto than carnivore lately. I’ll report on that later, in case anybody is interested.
Love the Shirataki Noodles!
